Say hello to Gwynn. My little Woodland Fairy

Gwynn was so amazing to make. I have a thing for fairies and she really fit the bill creatively. Her yellow hair was just perfectly suited for fairyhood. I added a backplate with pointy ears attached and there she was. I just fell in love with her over and over during the process. Her young mousy look was just so adorable.
Making her clothes was just as rewarding. Her dress lined with a trim of leaves on the bottom, and green flower bodice covered in lace. I crocheted a mushroom patch to go on her slouchy knit hat. You know she HAD to have a mushroom.
As I sat and stroked her beautiful hair for the longest time, I proclaimed ‘mine’, as I do with many of my dolls. While things pile up here quick, in a few months it was time to let her go and let someone else love her. And they do. Now she is in a happy new home with a mommy that loves her.
